Pluto Party!

Interstellar gossip time! Regardless of whether you were on Team Planet Pluto or Team Planetoid Pluto, it's time to give the icy enigma some credit as she returns to the spotlight with NASA's "New Horizons" mission's closest approach today.

Almost 10 years after mission launch, scientists are finally cashing in on bets concerning the dwarf planet's size and relationship with her moons. We're just happy to see some recognition for the lonely space rock that wears her heart on her sleeve.

Check out NASA's page for real-time flyby information and more details.

Hearing Pluto's night sky news put stars in our eyes and inspired some earthly galactic decor. There's just something about outer space and the vast unknown that's thrilling. Back in the day, we got our fill through glow-in-the-dark ceiling stars, but now we wanted to create some upgraded pieces that didn't remind us of old Barbies and hopscotch.

So, armed with paintbrushes, we proceeded to cover everything in sight with purples and blues and white flecks.
